Details Title Tenure-track Professor in Pre-1600 Japanese Literature and Culture School Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department/Area East Asian Languages and Civilizations Position Description The Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations seeks to appoint a tenure-track professor in Pre-1600 Japanese Literature and Culture. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2025. The tenure-track professor will be responsible for teaching and advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The ability to teach classical Japanese (bungo) is expected, and proficiency in teaching Japanese literary Sinitic (kanbun) is also welcome. Basic Qualifications Doctorate or terminal degree in Literature or related discipline required by the time the appointment begins. Additional Qualifications Demonstrated strong commitment to teaching and advising is desired.
