This role is targeted at the Assistant Professor rank; however, qualified candidates may be considered at the Associate or Full Professor rank. While we will consider candidates in all areas of electrical and computer engineering, we are particularly looking for candidates that can contribute to our already comprehensive programs in power and controls. We are especially interested in interdisciplinary candidates whose research bridges traditional areas with applications in robotics, quantum, biotechnology, artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML), semiconductor design and fabrication, and sustainability. The ECEE Department includes 2 University Distinguished Professors, 8 endowed chairs, 37 tenure/tenure-track faculty, 5 instructional faculty, and 4 research faculty. Faculty honors include 16 IEEE Fellows, 2 members of the US National Academy of Engineering, a National Science Foundation (NSF) Presidential Faculty Fellow, and 22 NSF CAREER Award recipients. The ECEE program consists of about 450 undergraduate and 450 graduate students and has averaged over $14 million in annual research expenditures. The department maintains close ties with local industry and national institutes/labs such as NIST, NREL, and NOAA.
