Manages training, recruiting, and onboarding activities within a terminal. **Major Tasks and Responsibilities** + Manages company-mandated trainings for dockworkers and drivers. + Ensures trainings are facilitated in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. + Leads management training for leadership and communication skills. + Ensures all Department of Transportation terminal requirements are current. + Manages recruiting and new hire onboarding processes, including hiring, interviewing, introductions, setting expectations, and processing paperwork. + Provides additional training, communication, feedback, and counseling as needed. **Preferred Qualifications** + Class A commercial driver’s license. + Safe motor vehicle report and hazmat endorsement. + 5+ years of transportation experience. + Communication, training, and coaching skills. + Flexibility to train on night shifts and weekends as needed. **Benefits** At Saia, your success is our success!
