Overview The Terrain Park Groomer is responsible for the grooming and nightly maintenance of all terrain parks and features within the terrain parks in coordination with the department’s winter plan and Day-crew communications. This position is key to the maintenance of all park elements in the terrain park in an effort to provide an enjoyable environment for our guests. This position’s goal is to provide all guests with the best possible terrain park experiences. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests. Responsibilities Responsible for safely operating grooming equipment. Ability to construct and maintain terrain park features using a snow cat. Responsible for grooming of all terrain parks and park features nightly. Responsible for supervising night time hand crew during build projects. Responsible for maintenance and reconstruction of parks in coordination with the winter plan and the day crew’s “end-of-day” communications. Assist in digging out and moving jib features with night-time park rangers. Responsible for motivating and directing the day crews work load during night builds. Communicates the grooming results from night to the terrain park lead groomer, manager or supervisors. Responsible for filling out all grooming forms nightly; i.e. mountain trail checklist, and Terrain Park Groomer Nightly Report(s). As well as, any other company equipment or vehicle forms. Contributes to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of the guests and employees: participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintaining a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions; and having the able to work with the mountain grooming staff. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
