Territory Manager - Institutional
Join Ecolab’s sales team as a Territory Manager. This outside sales opportunity is within our industry leading Institutional division.
What You Will Do:
Safety
Follow Ecolab safety guidelines and incident reporting requirementsAct as a safety champion as per Ecolab safety policyWash Process Management
Develop and share expertise in wash process knowledge (e.g., textile whiteness degree) and related technologiesAlign with marketing on core wash processesPartner with marketing in design and development of new wash processesDefine and own the wash process portfolioCollect, share, and promote best practices on wash programsWork in partnership with regional marketing to drive improvement in mix/flat feeTechnical Product Launch
Provide survey and start-up support Participate in field testing launch for new products evaluating them for deficienciesIdentify new product needs and competitive activities/threatsTechnical Support & Value Delivery
Support and assist territory managers in the implementation of technical processes, troubleshooting, and new process installations, Water & Energy projects at customers, and new businessProvide expertise and guidance to customers and employees on product selection, equipment applications, and program set-upDevelop and review customers’ quality, operation standards, and program gaps identifying proactive solutions aligned to Ecolab product/service program portfolioProvide field and customer trainingAssist with installation, repair, and system and equipment maintenancePartner with territory managers to communicate value of process knowledgeMinimum Qualifications:
BA/BS or technical degree/diploma in chemical engineering, chemistry, or related field7+ years of technical experience in related B2B environment with in-depth wash chemistry, laundry knowledge and hygiene, textile experienceAbility to work independently, under pressure, and with little directionStrong customer service and analytical skills with ability to translate complex data and imperfect information into a clear strategy and action planIn-depth understanding of Ecolab product portfolio with mechanical and electrical aptitudeExcellent organization and follow-up skills with ability to succeed in a competitive environmentAffinity to build relationships at all levels of the organization and externallyExperience working with and knowledge of computers (e.g., MS Office suite)Fluency in EnglishAbout Ecolab Institutional:
