Our Sales team at Wellness Pet is made up of professionals who understand the difference our products make in the lives of pets. We are currently seeking a results-based, analytical sales professional to join our team. This field-based position is responsible for territory management in the Northern California & Oregon Territory, which includes the Reno NV area. Reporting to the West Regional Sales Manager, the Territory Manager will be responsible for all sales fundamentals at the account and individual store level. What You-ll Accomplish + Manage pet specialty retailers in your assigned geographic area. + Deliver revenue, new items, distribution, and share growth targets. + Store level 6 P execution: Product, Placement, Price, Promotion, POP, Protocol (education). + Merchandising fundamentals - Improve product and shelving location and space. + Expand distribution, improve assortment, gain incremental display, ensure signage is up and current. + Ensure pricing is within Wellness Pet Company guidance. + Develop and execute creative customer specific strategies and plans based on customer analysis. + Earn the Wellness Pet recommendation by consultative selling and by detailing and conducting in-store product seminars. + Report sales activities and keep CRM current. + Execute national promotions. + Attend trade shows and other events with occasional weekend work. + Living the Wellness Pet values and culture and doing whatever it takes for the pets who depend on us. This position is ideally suited for an individual who has excellent customer development skills, a strong analytical background, excellent verbal & written communication skills, and accountability for results. Requirements include: + The ideal candidate resides in Northern California or Portland OR area + A BS Degree, strong sales background with CPG experience, and previous pet specialty experience is strongly preferred. + Go-getter mentality: willing to go the extra mile for customers and seek out new business opportunities. + Ability to self-direct, work independently and be flexible. + Computer proficient, especially in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM. + Ability to analyze the business across key sales fundamentals of assortment, merchandising, pricing, and shelving, turn this analysis into sales plans, and execute these plans with excellence. + Ability to travel approximately 80% of the time. + Passion for pets and their families. + Demonstrates a positive attitude, team spirit, and takes a proactive approach. + Sees challenges as opportunities and translates them into actionable tasks. + Always displays grace and presence. + Energized by fast-paced environment. + Great relationship management abilities.
