The Opportunity

For our Structural Heart Division we are currently looking for an ambitious professional to join our team in Central Eastern Europe as a Territory Manager TAVI. This is a field-based position requiring daily travelling across assigned area (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Romania, Hungary with occasional support to other Emerging Markets locations).

Main purpose of the job:

Develops the SH products and therapy and achieve the commercial therapy objectives by managing the Structural Heart accounts and activating the KOL networks within the region, in close collaboration with distributors.Responsible for obtaining results from a variety of therapy stakeholders.Identifies and opens new accounts, supports the commercial management and development of these accounts. Provides clinical and technical case support of the Abbott SH technologies (TAVI) in terms of clinical coverage.Responsible for training interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, cath lab staff, and ancillary personnel on the use of Structural Heart Products, and provide technical support to physicians during procedures.According to therapy needs, also assists in the assessing and screening of potential patients.Takes responsibility when additional training is needed.

What You'll do:

1. Proctoring (for TAVI):

Be proctor certified according to the Abbott SH training process.Provide technical support to clinicians during TAVI procedures.Demonstrate procedural steps for all involved physicians and staff at accounts. Assist cathlab personnel with set-up and break-down for procedures and with product handling/inventory management.Implement field-based physician and staff training programs.

2. Account Management:

Collaborate with account to provide optimal clinical outcomes for the patients.Facilitate communication among the diverse constituents (Interventionalists, Echocardiologists, sonographers, cardiac anesthesiologists, CV surgeons, cath lab management, etc.) that need to work together effectively to generate patients for treatment, procedure scheduling, and successful clinical outcomes.Develop account specific teaching program if needed.Manage logistics between the site and Abbott SH related to procedural support, inventory and PER management

3. Business Development:

Identifying new business opportunities and cooperating with Accounts and Business Partners (distributors) on opening new Accounts.Promoting Therapy Development and new SH therapy portfolio in respective countries.Meeting company business plan requirement.Supporting Regional Management on collecting data from the Accounts and Business Partners.Helping with sales forecasting and business case development and presentation.Support Regional Management in commercial negotiations with Accounts and Business Partners.

4. Patient Selection:

Keep medical team informed about patient selection criteria.Share own experience with physicians in order to help them to refine their patient selection.

5. Data & therapy info dissemination

Execution of data dissemination during “clinical campaigns” after each big congress.Update all therapy stakeholders with the latest therapy info.

Required qualifications & background:

University degree in life sciences or similar.Relevant experience in a clinical sales role in the Health Care Industry with cardiac medical devices.Significant TAVI/cath lab experience is desired.Strong clinical orientation: training clinicians and providing technical assistance during procedures, including troubleshooting and echo screening.Strong analytical skills: able to identify and resolve issues and to adapt best practices across institutions.Communication and interpersonal skills: to build relationships and obtain results.Well developed computer skills.Willingness to travel across Central Eastern Europe (over 50% of time).Ability to work in a Cath lab at least several days per week.Ability to understand the needs of an individual and adapt the teaching style to be most effective.Fluent English, both written and spoken.Driving license B.
