What Territory Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Territory Management is responsible for cold calling, prospecting and building relationships that will increase account penetration, revenue growth and customer satisfaction within a specified product line, business segment and/or geography. Call points for this role include, but not limited to; Post-Acute Centers, SNF's, Nursing Homes, Rehabilitation Centers, DME's, HME's & HIT's. Focus areas will include driving new business as well as increasing penetration in existing accounts to meet individual and organizational sales objectives.
Responsibilities
Develops client pipelines and cultivates existing and new relationships with clients.Conducts data analytics and analyzes the market penetration on products both in new and existing clients. Responsible for identifying areas for development.Assists distribution order support and coordination as needed.Coordinates pre-call planning with sales support staff and delegates data collection to Operation Team members.Determines prices offered to the client based on client's Group Purchasing Agreements.Meet and exceed assigned quota and sales objectives including assigned quota uplift.Maintain and increase sales volume within assigned accounts and territoryTravel within assigned territory to call on accounts including overnight travel. Maintain active, in-person presence at top accountsIdentify new business opportunities, generate leads, close new business and convert accounts from competitor productsBuild consultative relationships with clinicians, supply chain partners and end users. Maintain positive working relationships with Distribution and GPO partnersComplete all administrative tasks & training including expense reports, pipeline, maintain accurate SFDC records, market feedback, etc.In-service accounts by demonstrating product applications, functionality and use - on rare occasions may include the start of a night and weekend shiftsAttend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed. Attend all regional, divisional and sector events including National Sales Meetings and Region MeetingsMaintain required sales activity level - examples include the number of expected visits & calls, number of products presented/account, etc.Assist customers with back-orders and other related service issuesMaintain knowledge of the current industry/competitive landscape including, GPO's, healthcare economics, reimbursement, competitors, competitive products, etc.Interact with Marketing, Customer Service, and other internal departmentsPresent product features and benefits to clinical call points utilizing proper sales technique (probing, qualifying, needs assessment, supporting and closing)Successfully complete all MBO's (Management Objectives) throughout the fiscal year.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred2+ years of sales experience, preferredMedical industry experience, preferredDocumented sales achievement, preferredValid Driver's LicenseAbility to travel domestically and within the territory, including overnight stays.Anticipated pay range: $118,000 - $120,000 (includes targeted variable pay)
