Position Overview:

The Systems Testing and Commissioning (T&C) Engineer will manage and coordinate the system integration and commissioning program for all assigned projects. This role involves ensuring the Testing & Commissioning / Field Service team delivers electrification equipment into service, meeting all safety, quality, and environmental requirements. You will collaborate with technical managers, project managers, and customers to produce integrated project solutions.

What your day-to-day will look like

Develop Testing and Commissioning Strategy for projects. Ensure safe commissioning, operating, and performance testing of installations. Manage, test, and commission AC (25kV Classic and 2x25kV Autotransformer) and DC electrification railway networks. Identify and manage resources to meet project schedules. Develop and manage commissioning programs in line with legislation, customer specifications, and standards. Review risk assessments, plans, testing procedures, and method statements. Conduct Health and Safety inspections. Monitor project expenditure and progress, ensuring delivery within budget and on time. Ensure delivery of all T&C documentation. Liaise with Commercial Project Managers on project changes and issues. Establish documentation systems for T&C and field activities. Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Design/Type Testing, Factory Integration Testing (FIT), and Field/Site Acceptance Testing (SAT). Provide technical support to Project Managers. Coach junior staff and develop innovative, value-for-money services for customers. Willingness to travel across the USA.

To thrive in this role, you have:

BSc or BEng in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (preferred) or Technical Diploma with relevant experience. Minimum 7 years of experience in installation, testing, and commissioning. Experience in the Rail Electrification market is beneficial. Relevant management experience and a track record of successful project delivery. Experience with 25kV and DC distribution networks, Automation, PLC, SCADA systems, and system integration within the Rail environment.

Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.  Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://www.benefitsquickstart.com/siemens/index.html.  The base salary range for this position in Wilsonville, OR is  $109,100 - $147,200. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications. The annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary.
