Surveillance Metrology Operations is responsible for the calibration and management of measurement and test equipment across the Raytheon Surveillance organization. The Primary Standards Laboratory is searching for a Test & Validation engineer who will develop testing protocols and procedures, calibrate equipment, analyze and document results in order to ensure systems perform according to necessary contractual specifications. What You Will Do • Coordinate and collaborate with Raytheon associates to perform calibration procedures that certify that calibrated measurement and test equipment meets required contractual and government standards. • Collect and analyze measurement data to determine conformance with specifications. • Draft calibration reports and present results in the appropriate manner to meet customer needs. • Develop and document calibration procedures. • Perform uncertainty analyses to confirm the adequacy of the measurement process. Qualifications You Must Have • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. • Previous hands-on experience in the fields of pressure, vacuum, flow and/or temperature utilizing equipment such as vacuum gauges, Helium leaks, turbines, thermocouples, etc. • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer • Previous calibration or trouble-shooting experience and familiarity with metrology-related concepts such as traceability, measurement tolerance/uncertainty and calibration intervals. • Knowledge of calibration standards such as ANSI Z540 or ISO 17025. • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. • Strong verbal/written communication skills, including technical writing for summarizing data/findings and writing calibration procedures. • Ability of solving technical problems, meeting deadlines and multitasking. Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 72,000 USD - 144,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
