Applied R&D (AR) consists of target-oriented research either with the goal of solving a particular problem / answering a specific question or for multi-discipline design, development, and implementation of hardware, software, and systems including maintenance support. Supplies techno-economic consulting to clients. AR work is characterised by its detailed and complex nature in order to systematically combine existing knowledge and practices to further developing and incrementally improving products, operational processes, and customer-specific feature development.

Subfamily Description

R&D Architecture (RDA) comprises capturing of business, operational, technical, and / or non functional requirements from the stakeholders and the delivery of an architecture to meet the defined needs and constraints. Contains processing of use case and feature requirements into conceptual models, operational scenarios, technical requirements, and functional descriptions. RDA has a broad system and product architecture competence and ecosystem understanding.

 

15+ years of extensive relevant experience in integration and verification  Expertise in LTE\5G technologies  Experience in Virtualization, Cloud and Webscaler technologies Test case execution planning  Test case and Test line coverage  Exposure to Nokia and external test tools MN way of working and different process Nokia product roadmap and priorities Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes and services. Chairs meetings to discuss the issues and their status with integration team Work together with the A&S and the integration team to define the integration steps Owns the test strategy documents, review and support for other technical documentations across teams for the responsible areas   Suggest optimal solutions for automation and regressions cases  Invites subject matter experts as per needed to solve observed issues Drives agreed actions e.g. finds ways to unblock the integration Works closely with the FOT leader to be able to prioritize the work, based on the integration plan / observed issues Maintains the dashboard to indicate the progress (integration step traffic lights) Proactively identify the risks with mitigation plans and discuss in technical fourm Determines the causes to any perceived deviation and anticipates risks and evaluates related financial impacts. Leads key and complex projects that positively contribute to business or operation impact such as streamlining processes and tools for efficiency in functional, region or local operation.  Acts as a professional leader for staff / workteam / taskforces, often the most senior specialist in a team, who serves as best practice resource within own organisational unit and / or is recognised as an expert within the same professional area in the business Interfaces with key stakeholders at business area leadership. Is responsible for execution performance and timely deliverables Ensures proper communication and documentation to relevant stakeholders for technical requests, emergency cases, outages and project delivery issues. Ensures operational continuity and smooth execution as well as network availability by implementing proactively BG / BL guidelines and PM@Nokia Methodology. Applies and maintains quality standards. Participates in process and tools evolutions and improvements.
