Responsibilities
+ Research and implement best practice solutions for various automated verification and validation processes
+ Develop test plan, data, and automation scripts
+ Translate functional requirements and use cases into clear, concise, detail-oriented test plans/cases
+ Assist in coding an automated framework in a TDD/BDD style approach
+ Integrate various Continuous Integration/Deployment solutions
+ Perform manual verification as requested by team.
+ Maintain and upkeep the implemented automated solution on a release basis
+ Verify source code updates during each release for "Testability" and "Readability"
+ Conduct detailed triage to identity potential defects and provide clear and concise “Steps to reproduce”
+ Monitors the effectiveness of the testing function and brings about improvements through insights gained via analysis at all stages of the SDLC/STLC
+ Identify code specific edge cases and various breaking points as early detection during static verification of the code
+ Develop test data upon request by internal development team.
+ Review and identify manual test scripts that can be automated to save time and lessen the manual testing effort
+ Knowledge of and ability to perform in an AGILE environment
+ Able to use independent judgment to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.
+ Use automated Quality Assurance systems to facilitate daily activities
+ Gather business requirements and develop manual test scripts
Qualifications
+ 3+ years of experience in software development or other equivalent experience
+ 3+ years of experience with automation application testing (Eggplant/Selenium)
+ 3 years of experience delivering complex enterprise-wide information technology solutions
+ Experience with Object Oriented Design and Programming in a multithreaded agile environment
+ Experience with scripting in one or more languages
+ Expert Experience using Eggplant/Selenium
+ Expert experience building scripts within Eggplant
+ 3 years of experience in designing and implementing process solutions for automation
+ Experience with Selenium based frameworks built in a TDD/BDD style approach e.g. JUnit, Serenity BDD, Cucumber, Gherkin etc.
+ Experience with using IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA with various libraries like maven, ant etc.
+ Experience with SCM solutions such as Git, SVN, Bitbucket etc.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Self-motivated individual with an ability to work independently while delivering exceptional results
+ Strong "can-do" attitude, willing to do what it takes to support the project
+ An excellent team player with an ability to be effective in defining program changing processes in a continuous improvement manner
Preferred Skills:
+ Experience with Eggplant (setup/use)
+ Experience with Selenium preferred, but not essential
+ Experience with Jenkin's pipeline scripts (i.e. Groovy)
+ Experience with Automated Security Testing (i.e.: OWASP ZAP, BurpSuite)
+ Experience with Cucumber
Education:
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent software development experience
+ 7 - 13 years of Automation Engineer experience without a degree
Clearance:
+ The ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation
Location:
+ Remote, USA
Pay Range:
+ The suggested pay for this position ranges from $55,730 to $103,500
+ The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
+ Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses
