Position Summary: Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Test Center Program Assistant - Boca Raton, FL. Summary of Responsibilities: + Direct supervision of the Assistant Director assists in the administration and coordination of testing services for the Office of Testing and Certification. + Proctors exams in compliance with a variety of testing rules and regulations, scoring and reporting test results, maintaining test security, integrity, records, and other related responsibilities. + Supports the overall operation of day-to-day testing activities, provides input and feedback, and assists in supervising and training testing staff as needed. + Administers all exams in strict compliance with applicable testing rules, regulations, and procedures. Scores and reports test results as appropriate. + Provides scheduling and check-in assistance to staff, including interpretation of student test records, verifying identification, and taking photographs, if required, of students and candidates signing in for makeup exams, correspondence tests, and computer-based tests (i.e. ACCUPLACER, CLEP, DSST, PSI, PAN, TEAS,) to include PROMETRIC and paper-tests. + Escorts candidates to the appropriate testing room and collect testing materials at the conclusion of exams. Takes lead responsibilities for ensuring completion of assignments and tasks for test given at the work center. + Handles and resolves technical and testing software support issues and external technical support services and reports issues to supervisor. + Provides visual security measures and operate the electronic/digital security systems during testing. Report and document any breach of security and uphold confidentiality policies as determined by the federal government, state, university, department, and testing entities. + Maintains the confidentiality of all examinations housed in and delivered to the Office of Testing and Certification. + Aids in maintaining inventory of all supplies and materials for testing services. Communicates and interacts with staff, faculty, external testing services, community partners and others to ensure effective and efficient delivery of testing services. + Documents and records tests, and information related to testing irregularities and eligibility for testing material usage; and prints, files, and/or emails exams to appropriate instructors, or other personnel. + Provide detailed information to examinees about available tests including test dates, location, deadlines, and fees. + Provide responses to inquiries and requests from students, faculty, staff, and the community, by phone and in person, and refer to the appropriate departments if unable to assist. Collaborate with faculty and staff to provide effective solutions for requests made by faculty and staff. + Operates test center scanner to score tests and transfer scanned data to scoring software, then email statistical analyses and other reports to faculty via e-mail. + Retrieves, disseminates information, and creates reports, documents or memos from Microsoft Office and Banner system. + Operates personal computer, copy machine, printer, shredder. Close office and secure testing labs and sensitive information at the end of the day. + Provide information for Test Preparation operation.
