Test Development CoOp  Are you passionate about engineering? Do you like to think up, create, design, build, and test  bleeding edge new products? If  so, you could be a great fit for our team!   Based in Huntsville, AL, SCI Technology’s Test Engineering Development Group, with the stability  and resources of a Fortune-500 company, is seeking a highly motivated Co-op candidate  in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronix concentration preferred) to join our team  and shape future products. Working with technology partners, we rapidly develop test solutions for a  wide range of defense, aerospace, and commercial products.   The successful candidates could be involved in a wide range of the test development; including  designing mechanical test sets and fixtures, designing electrical PWA’s for test set and fixture  integration, and developing test software for leading edge airborne and/or subsea systems not yet  seen by the public. Depending on the individual’s background and interests, work will involve  computer-based design and modeling, rapid fabrication of new designs with both our in-house  fabrication capabilities and/or contractor test fixture fabrication facilities.  Nature of Duties/Responsibilities: Defining and documenting test requirements. Designing and developing functional test set H/W that will interface with LabView or other  GUI based S/W and/or writing automated test programs using LabView/TestStand. Effective and clear communication to management on the status of projects. Collaborating in a team environment to develop new test solutions. Education/Experience: US Citizenship is required (Due to DoD, ITAR and other regulations) Sophomore-Senior Student studying Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (Mechatronix concentration preferred),  or IT. Interested in functional test hardware or software development. Training in analog and digital circuit design; or PCB layout using Altium or other ECAD software; or mechanical design using SolidWorks or other MCAD software; or NI LabVIEW code development or other programming languages.   Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer – M/F/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.
