If  so, you could be a great fit for our team!   Based in Huntsville, AL, SCI Technology’s Test Engineering Development Group, with the stability  and resources of a Fortune-500 company, is seeking a highly motivated Co-op candidate  in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronix concentration preferred) to join our team  and shape future products. Working with technology partners, we rapidly develop test solutions for a  wide range of defense, aerospace, and commercial products.   The successful candidates could be involved in a wide range of the test development; including  designing mechanical test sets and fixtures, designing electrical PWA’s for test set and fixture  integration, and developing test software for leading edge airborne and/or subsea systems not yet  seen by the public. Depending on the individual’s background and interests, work will involve  computer-based design and modeling, rapid fabrication of new designs with both our in-house  fabrication capabilities and/or contractor test fixture fabrication facilities.  Nature of Duties/Responsibilities: Defining and documenting test requirements. Designing and developing functional test set H/W that will interface with LabView or other  GUI based S/W and/or writing automated test programs using LabView/TestStand. Effective and clear communication to management on the status of projects. Collaborating in a team environment to develop new test solutions. Education/Experience: US Citizenship is required (Due to DoD, ITAR and other regulations) Sophomore-Senior Student studying Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (Mechatronix concentration preferred),  or IT. Interested in functional test hardware or software development.
