The Human Resources Division (HRD) is an agency within the Executive Office for Administration and Finance. HRD provides support to state agencies in all matters relating to the Commonwealth's classification, compensation, benefits, recruitment, training employee development, civil rights, collective bargaining and workers compensation administration.
The Human Resources Division’s Civil Service Unit seeks a detail-oriented team player to work within its Civil Service Unit. Civil Service Unit Overview:
The Civil Service Unit within HRD is responsible for testing potential public safety personnel and working with cities, towns, and state agencies to ensure they have a qualified, diverse pool of candidates. Annually, the unit tests over 10,000 potential public safety candidates for a variety of positions, including police and fire, environmental police, and corrections officer candidates.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Professionally collaborate with a variety of people, both inside and outside the Civil Service UnitCollect, analyze, and organize data from applicant tracking system (NeoGov) and Microsoft ExcelRecords exams requested Assist in the Assessment Center process: coordinate delegation agreements, reviewing requests, reviewing forms, reviewing eligibility, generating invoices, sending score notices to candidatesTracks Assessment Center progress steps in a spreadsheetNotifies team members of Assessment Center updatesCreates exam posters for entry level and promotional exam job titlesRun reports out of our applicant testing system (NeoGov), organizes, and present applicant demographicsRun reports out of NeoGov for Freedom of Information Act requestsClassify and combine data using a set of rules Assist in investigating test appealsCreate Education and Experience claims for promotional examsScore Education and Experience for promotional examsCompile, gather and send Answer Sheet Reviews for requested candidatesAssists with the administration of Assessment Centers and computerized examinationsAssists with customer inquiries received by email or phoneIdentify administrative challenges and propose new solutions to improve processesPreferred Qualifications:
