SUMMARY Responsible for the smooth daily running and grooming of the Corporate network environment and its attached devices. Documentation, security and analysis of the environment are an integral duty for the Corporate IT Administrator. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Fine tunes the file servers. Installs and supports network applications and workstations. Develops file server standards. Capacity planning for the file servers. Assists in capacity planning for the network, network planning, and workstation standards. Support for file server help desk problems. Support for workstation help desk problems. Support for network help desk problems. File server performance reporting. File server documentation and procedure writer. Drafts purchasing orders. Maintains file server software licenses, hardware registrations and inventory. Responsible for E-mail system. Responsible for server security and data integrity. Responsible for Move-Add-Change (MAC) along with computer equipment work within the corporate and subsidiary facilities. Install firewall, switches, WiFi and routers Perform backup on firewalls, switches and routers. Support VOIP. Document firewalls, switches, WiFi and routers Patch firewalls, switches, WiFi and routers Upgrade firewalls, switches, WiFi and routers Provide technical support to remote location Travel to remote location world wide to install firewalls, switches, routers, workstations, servers, WiFi and telephone systems. All other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Certified NetWare Engineer. Three (3) years minimum of LAN administration. Good time and project management skills. Must be familiar with state-of-the-art technology. Must have LAN implementation experience. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
