Responsibilities Develop functional testing scenarios as well as detailed functional test casesManage project deadlines, as well as your time and schedule in a fast-paced federal environmentReview and generate complex test plans, generate test case data, build procedures and testing scripts based upon functional specificationsExecute test cases, coordinate and execute tests, log and validate defects, debug and documentMaintain DTSRs (Detailed Test Status Report)Must be able to work well within a team environment and have exceptional collaboration skills with all levels of business and technical staffServe as a functional testing subject matter expert to assist other test engineers as neededParticipate in regular project status meetings, track and communicate testing progress, issues and risksDefine Level of effort for building test casesAssist test lead/manager to define and refine functional testing approaches, tools, automation and documentationUtilize software testing tools and develop software test automationInteract with Federal and contractor functional leads to clarify requirements and scenariosAssist the Federal and contractor resources to conduct User Acceptance TestingRespond to developers' questions regarding test results, bugs and defectsCommunicate frequently with customers and team members, facilitating discussions an exercising professional judgment as require Qualifications 10 years of IT Industry experience (Required)Should have experience in Agile methodology Experience in test automation including the development and execution of automated test scriptsExperience with defect tracking/requirements management tool, desired technologies include: IBM Rational Suite, (ClearQuest, Requirements Pro, Functional Test)Experience in all phases of software testing including test planning, functional testing, and regression testingExperience testing all layers of the application, including web-based user interface, service layer, data migration, integration layer, data layer, and performance testingAbility to read and understand Functional, Technical architecture design documents and analyze test requirements Should have strong co-ordination, communication & reporting, analytical skillsExperience in testing Java, .Net, Web, SOA, ETL based applicationsHaving some level Java development experiencePrepare test data for various test cases/scenariosExposure to multiple SDLC models like Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile modelsStrong skills in SQL, Oracle, MS-AccessIntermediate understanding and experience with Unix and WindowsStrong written and verbal communication skills

Education:

 Master's Degree in related field of study
  or 10 additional years of relevant experience (20 years total)

Clearance: 

The ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation

Pay Range:

This position ranges from $51,145 to $71,625The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
