Test Engineer

KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Test Engineer to join our team.   This position will support our government customer in Washington Metropolitan Area. Test Engineers provides test and evaluation of hardware and/or software development.  This includes developing and documenting test plans and procedures, conducting testing, and evaluating and documenting results.  Prepares studies, plans, and analyses in support of the delivery order.

Responsibilities Include:

Coordinates testing activities for various projects. Supports bug reporting and tracking and software test processes and evaluation of GEOINT data.Assists in the development of the test strategy in order to meet the release scheduleAdheres to established testing proceduresWorks under general supervisionResponsible for defining test strategies, plans, procedures and reportsResponsible for writing tests, executing those tests, and reporting the resultsInitiates and analyzes problem reports and change proposalsEnsures that hardware/software/data under test implements the functionality specified in all approved requirement documents and that it performs as expected from the customers perspectiveDevelops strong cooperative relationships with development, project management teams and manager to achieve end-to-end product qualityMust have knowledge of Government security policies and familiarity with security-related technologies and auditing toolsDesigns, constructs and implements manual and automated tests that thoroughly exercise the product from the perspective of the customerAssesses system and software level requirement specifications, software design, interface design, test, and other development related documentation as neededAssists with implementation of the enhancements, including documentation, instruction and hands-on-training of others

Required Skills and Experience:

5-12 years of relevant experienceBachelor's DegreeExperience working as a Test Engineer in the DoD/ICStrong oral and written communication skills.

Security Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly preferred
