Test Engineer/Hardware Validation Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

In this role, you will:

Work with design teams to develop validation plansExecute hands-on validation in a lab environmentPerform manual test setups using common lab equipmentRun automated testing using various test platforms and test suitesReview and analyze test reports to identify design or test set up issuesBasic scripting knowledge Perform functional verification of electrical subsystemsDebug/tune of custom hardware

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, related filed or equivalent experience3+ years of overall experience in validation/test experienceExperience in failure analysis and troubleshooting skills in a laboratory environmentExperience with prototyping solutions and bench testing methodology and proficiency in operating common lab equipmentExperience with test automation with background in scriptingExperience working in a laboratory environmentExperience with EE fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with audio, power supplies, video, cameras, I2C/SPI/UART buses, and highspeed electrical signal characterizationAutomation experience (i.e. shell, Perl, Python, etc.)Experience with battery powered, wireless, embedded HW/SW consumer devicesAbout Actalent
