Test Engineer
Reports to: EEM CTO
Location: Rychnov, Czech Republic
Purpose of the Job: The job holder will be responsible for production testing of electromechanical locking products. He/she will collaborate in project teams to offer innovative solutions of differentiating our products from others on the market and will also be responsible for ensuring that the products meet the highest standards for our customers.
Principal Responsibilities:
Creating requirements specification of the programming and testing equipment Supporting industrialization of the production testing equipment Cooperates with suppliers of the equipment on implementation and hand-over Cooperates closely with the project teams to test the products acc. specifications Preparation and commissioning of samples and prototypes tested within the product industrialization Supports creation of test programs, able to do changes and updates (or in coop. with supplier) HW/SW maintenance and updates of the testing equipment (regular control, improvements, forced changes) Oversees and provides detailed information to suppliers (parameters, configuration files, FW builds) Implementation and approval of new FW builds/parameters (from production line perspective) Works closely with the development team(s) of the customer(s) to define test concepts of the mechanics and electronics of the product incl. SW integration according to the product requirements and international certifications Develops further the concept of products traceability (considering requirements of manufacturing and product management) Supports Operations to ensure business continuity of running production (assembly line readiness, production testing improvements, …) Supports the footprint projects related to electromechanical products on all EEM manufacturing sites and deploy the testing activities to those sites Technical root cause analysis of field/customer issues (related to testing coverage or FW bugs)
Applicant Qualifications:
Manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in production testing and embedded programming. Knowledge of testing and programming tools (Labview, Python, SQL, …). Ability to write and maintain test scripts. Solid understanding of computer networks, IT technologies, hardware & firmware development. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good knowledge of global IT, EN and IEC standards. SW programming (C++, Python, Java,…). Strong technical understanding of product related technologies, e.g. RFID, UHF, BLE and battery powered devices, access control, etc. Experience working in an agile environment with cross-functional teams in an international environment. Ability to work in another major European language as well as good English language skills. A collaborative mindset with an open attitude to learn new things An open mind and transparency in results and obstacles. Prepared to travel on occasion within EMEIA.
