Job Overview
A Test Engineer works to make sure that products are tested properly before they leave the factory. They help improve the testing process to catch any defects and ensure products meet quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesImprove Testing Equipment: Make the machines that test products work better and more reliably.Enhance Production Methods: Suggest ways to improve how products are made and tested to ensure high quality.Maintenance and Repairs: Recommend and carry out maintenance and repairs on testing machines to keep them running smoothly.Work with Customers: Collaborate with customers to develop and finalize testing strategies for new products.Validate New Products: Test new products and provide data to customers to get approval for the testing methods.Coordinate with Production: Work with the production team to develop tests for new products and ensure they are ready for launch.Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and solve problems with testing machines and processes to ensure everything runs efficiently.Follow Quality Procedures: Adhere to company policies and procedures related to product testing.Essential SkillsExperience in test engineering, electrical, automation, testing, troubleshooting, SCADA, Allen-Bradley, Siemens PLC, LabVIEW, instrumentation, electromechanical systems, control panels, and test equipment.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least one year of experience with automatic transmission processes.General knowledge of engineering mechanics, physics, hydraulics, electronics, and computer software.Basic understanding of the operational theory and principles of operation of automatic transaxle/transmissions.Familiarity with common instrumentation testing equipment and data acquisition and control systems.Experience programming real-time applications such as PLC and LabVIEW.Experience with electronics and automation.High level of analytical ability required, where problems are unusual.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00
Full time opportunity with company paid benefits including medical, dental, vision. Unsure of 401k or stock options. Lots of promotion from within.
