Job Title: Test Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Test Engineer who will support testing and validating new products, including modifications of standard products, new custom designs, and the application of standard products. The primary focus will be on Industrial and Alternative Energy products, including solutions in the Photovoltaic, Energy Storage, BOS Cabling Solutions, Power Transmission and Distribution, Modular and Circular Connector, and Automated Charging Markets.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare, coordinate, and execute development and type tests as well as damage analyses in various areas such as electrical, mechanical, visual, environmental, and thermal measurements.Develop and maintain novel fixtures, automation, and test setups.Design, develop, and maintain automation and custom test programming for equipment interaction using PLCs and/or LabVIEW.Create and maintain work instructions for lab equipment calibration and routine maintenance.Essential SkillsWorking knowledge of National Electric Code, NFPA70E, Shock & Arc-Flash Hazards.Experience applying hazardous work controls, safety requirements, and best practices.Additional Skills & QualificationsBS degree in Mechanical EngineeringEngineering lab or electro-mechanical experiencePLC/LabVIEW Relevant Certification.IPC/WHMA-A-620C Certified a plus.Work Environment

The engineering department comprises 14 people. Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm, and Friday from 8 am to 2 pm, with no more than 40 hours per week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00
