Job Title: Senior Test Engineer

Company Overview:  A leading global medical device firm, renowned for delivering innovative lifesaving products and software solutions to EMS, hospital, public safety, and military customers, is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join their R&D Team in Irvine, CA. The product portfolio includes AEDs, trauma kits, ventilators, temperature management solutions, and more.

Position: Senior Test Engineer

Location: Irvine, CA

Job Type: 100% Onsite Contract (Minimum 1 year with potential for extension or conversion)

Job Description:

As a Senior Test Engineer supporting our Research and Development (R&D) team, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and documentation of electronic test systems for ventilation devices and other specialty products. This role is primarily technical but may include limited project management duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, fabricate, document, deploy, and maintain electronic systems and fixtures for testing and programming disposable electrodes and other specialty products.Incorporate hardware, software, and mechanical technologies (sensors, etc.) in test systems and fixtures.Develop skills in embedded (micro-controller) electronics and software development for test equipment.Design and test to meet FDA/IEC standards and develop test techniques.Document test systems planning, architecture, requirements, verification & validation, design, schematics, software, etc., per industry standards and procedures.Assist in preparing in-house specifications and documentation for new or revised test designs consistent with FDA and ISO standards.Provide technical support to product development, quality, and production in resolving problems.Participate in the investigation and resolution of field incidents, customer complaints, and other quality issues requiring technical support.Support management activities in the preparation of schedules, budgets, and project reporting.

Essential Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.10+ years of experience in the Engineering field (Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical).Experience in embedded system (software and hardware) development for disposable products and test equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in the medical device or other highly regulated industry is preferred.Any similar combination of education and experience will be considered.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00
