Description
As a member of the R&D engineering team, the candidate will be responsible for supporting product verification test activities on electrical and mechanical medical device components. This will include developing and validating test methods, executing testing, acquiring/recording data, analyzing results and creating associated documentation. The Test Engineer will interface and support different groups including research and development, quality, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities Include:
Develop and execute verification test protocols, test cases and reports based on product specifications for requirement verification.Design test cases to include test methodology, test setups materials, equipment, test procedure, and requirement acceptance criteria.Functional testing of mechanical assemblies and PCBAs.Document, manage and maintain test records consistent with formal verification processes and Quality Management System policies and procedures.Perform appropriate statistical analysis, t-test, tolerance interval and normality testParticipate in cross-functional team meetings and design reviews.Create and validate test fixtures and test systems needed for product design verification.Review and analyze requirements as part of test protocol development.With guidance perform failure mode analysis and root cause investigations and contribute to developing solutions.Review, understand and characterize electrical and mechanical designs in order to develop test methods and ensure coverage of requirements.Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or related field.Minimum 8 years experience in test engineering, medical field preferred.Ability to read, understand and analyze electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.Experience using electrical and mechanical lab equipment such as an oscilloscope, DMM, power supply, force gauge and caliper.Proficiency with MS Office and other office productivity tools.Experience creating detailed, clear and complete documentation and records. Experience with a Quality Management System preferred.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00
