As a Test Engineer, a typical day might include the following:

Evaluate new test technologies and methods.Determine Design for Test (DFT) specifications and coordinate with engineering staff on new product design.Design, develop, and maintain test strategies for new and existing products that meet customer objectives.Train staff in function, design, and maintenance of all testing processes on the laboratory floor.Gather and analyze test data to improve test coverage and efficiencies.Follow SEL Values.Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.

A bachelor's in electrical or computer engineeringExperience designing and developing tests or working in an electrical labA solid foundation in the fundamentals of electrical engineeringExcellent writing and speaking skillsAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilitiesAbility to work cooperatively in team environmentStrong writing, documentation, and speaking skillsBackground check results satisfactory to SELNegative drug test result(s)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in electronic design, manufacturing and testingSkill in design and construction of electrical test fixturesFamiliarity with commercial and MIL-STD test methodsExperience in writing test procedures and test documentationKnowledge of computer architecture and operationExperience with programming languages such as Python, C++, C#Experience with using version control systems such as Git

Pay Range Data

Test Engineer $88,000 - $108,000. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills
