Job Title: Performance Test Engineer
Job Description

The Performance Test Engineer is responsible for the design, configuration, development, documentation, and testing of technology solutions to meet business or technology requirements. You will be involved in the full technology life cycle and responsible for designing, coding, configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting LoadRunner applications and analytics services. You will work closely with Analysts, Product Managers, and business stakeholders to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and physical design of technical solutions in LoadRunner. Additionally, you will create reference architectures, best practices, and procedures, and may be assigned both implementation and support functions.

ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and translate business technology requirements into technical designs for new performance technology test strategies, following architectural standards and organizational policies.Design, configure, develop, document, and test performance tests.Utilize detailed domain knowledge to create performance testing solutions that enhance or enable service capabilities and reduce application and infrastructure time.Code, troubleshoot, and script performance tests.Develop, implement, and oversee performance-architected framework best practice policies and procedures.Manage testing schedules and coordinate with development teams.Work with various test leads to ensure consistent test metrics are captured and reported on schedule.Identify and recommend optimization opportunities across organizational infrastructure.Support the Release Management team and communicate Go/No-Go decisions for testing.Essential SkillsExperience with performance testing, systems analysis, programming, quality control, and test management.Proficient in scripting using Python and LRE scripting.3+ years of experience with LoadRunner VuGen test scripting, execution, diagnosing, and reporting.Knowledge of Microsoft Project application.Excellent understanding and experience in IT project management methodologies.Commanding knowledge of technical and business issues in applications or infrastructure architecture, systems development, project or product management, and operations/production support.Proficiency with at least one Gartner-recognized test management application (e.g., ServiceNow, HP Quality Center, HP ALM, JIRA Xray).Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Technology Management, or a related field. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.CTFL and other testing certifications.ISTQB certifications.Work Environment

This position is located in Newark, NJ, and requires the candidate to be within a commutable distance and able to go into the office as needed. The team typically works on-site 2+ days a week. The role includes working with various test leads and development teams, using technologies such as LoadRunner, Python, and LRE scripting in a hybrid work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
