Test Engineer
**Description** • Plan and implement test systems as needed for new product introductions • Support, maintain and improve test systems throughout the factory • Drive quality through internal and external root cause countermeasure of failures • Identify and drive cost saving opportunities within the factory • Advise design engineering of existing production capabilities, equipment, facilities and standard practices to contribute to the development of new designs • Troubleshoot and maintain electrical I/O communication boards for various stations • Coordinate design changes for existing stations as per product requirements • Validate test stations using software and hardware • Provide technical assistance for hardware and software debugging • Review test results and analyze test data from the database and improve yields **Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or Metrology from an accredited institution, background in applied physics desired • 3+ years of related engineering and/or metrology experience • Good understanding of analog and digital based circuitry and ability to read schematics • Ability to program in VB.net, C#, C++, Java, LabView TestStand etc. • Root cause analysis using various Problem-Solving methodologies • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work and delivering results • Comfortable working problems of moderate scope where analysis of data requires **Fortive Corporation Overview** Fortive’s essential technology makes the world stronger, safer, and smarter.
