Position Overview: This on-site Test Engineer I will verify and validate new products and product enhancements. Ensure they meet or exceed product requirements. Products include
Larger, central issuance machines, which produce financial, gift, incentive and government ID cards.
Instant issuance card solutions for the desktop.
Passport solutions.
Form and mailer solutions.
Materials – supplies that support the card production process.
Our solutions include security, software, firmware, electrical, chemical and mechanical components.
Responsibilities
Execute tests and capture data. We currently use Zephyr as our test management tool.
Record issues. We currently use JIRA to manage issues.
You will be asked to capture electronic logs and attach to records.Assist development to isolate issues.
Communicate status to Test Team, engineering, and project management.
Create a storyboard.Use a dashboard.Configure systems.
You will be asked to remove and replace supplies.You will be asked to remove a replace subassemblies.You will be asked to upgrade and downgrade printer firmware.Generate tests based upon product requirements.
Order supplies. Maintain the test lab, systems, and test environment.
This position will take direction from more than one source.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or Computer Science.
Understands logic. Understands dependencies and cause and effect.
Proficient with Windows 10 and Windows 11.
An understanding of Black box test methodology.
Can engage directly with people on a regular basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Mechanical aptitude. Previous experience with stepper motors is a plus.
An understanding of color printing.
An understanding of serial communications. USB or ethernet.
Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Outlook, and Word.
Comfortable using Linux.

Compensation Range:
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $60,469-$88,688 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
