Summary:

As an Engineering Operations Test Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of test programs. You will also contribute by performing test setup, instrumentation, operation, and equipment maintenance while working closely with the Test Equipment Engineer and Test Engineers to prepare equipment to collect test data for analysis and reporting.

In this role, you will be a valuable part of the team by:

Assisting in the designing and planning of test setup.Implementing test bench and/or test cell setup, including instrumentation and hardware installation.Performing test cell controls interlock parameter inputs and audits.Conducting precision machine alignments on test cell dynamometers, drivelines and engines.Trouble shooting and assisting with conducting testing per plan, verify data accuracy, and prepare results for reporting.Performing maintenance on test facility equipment.Assuring accurate calibration of instrumentation vital in collecting test data.Preparing prototypes of components assemblies and systems of either new or current products as advised by policies and procedures or written test plans or work requests.Implementing and actively supporting safety policies and initiatives.Participating in program planning and/or status meetingsCollaborating with the supervisor about all ongoing projects with regard to project status, completion time projections and any problems that may have arisen during the course of the project.Observing applicable procedures and practices as delineated in Test Operations Manual, PE Procedures, and Standard Procedures.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Education requirement:

Vocational or technical degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience

Education preferred:

Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering Technology

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

0-2 years experience in an engineering technician role or relevant educational background
