Test Fitter
1st Shift
Walpole, MA
As a Test Fitter, you will be responsible for performing Preparation, Installation, Removal, and derig of Naval Propulsion Equipment onto Spin and Articulating Test stands or shafts - This will include the installation and removal of blades on Hubs in test stands and Balance Machine. You will also assist throughout shop as needed with packaging, loading, and unloading trucks as required

Key Accountabilities:
Perform all work accurately according to required standard processes and meet all quality standardsProduces the quantity of work as expected and ensures fully utilization of all equipmentResponsible for the upkeep on assigned area, PPE, and toolingUse advanced troubleshooting logic to identify complex operation and/or process issues in assigned areaFollow health, safety and environmental procedures and regulations.Interpret both drawings and technical instructionsFollows all established protocols such as housekeeping, tool control, and training plansWork as part of an integrated manufacturing team to help the business meet its targetUses problem solving skills and identifies business improvements opportunitiesBasic Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalentMechanical aptitude with experience2 years prior experience working as a mechanicMust be able to wear personal protective equipmentMust be able to perform work in an area with exposure to dust and chemicalsAbility to lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 poundsAbility to read, write, comprehend, and speak EnglishBasic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookMust be a U.S. CitizenPreferred Requirements:
Proficient with precision measuring tools (Micrometers, Indicators, etc.)Certified forklift operatorSkilled in using various cranes and lifting devicesPioneer the next generation of innovation.
