Title: Test Lab Technician

Location: 9815 Northcross Center Ct, Huntersville, NC 28078
Location Details: On site 5 days per week, parking available at location
Team: Commercial Product Testing
Why Open: Adding more employees due to tariff mitigation that will be implemented by new president elect, requiring more testing to be done within the US rather than overseas.
Start: Start Of February
Duration: 6 months, but potential to be kept on for 12 months
Important Skills:
Technical - Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, experience with hand tools (not required but a plus)
Soft - Problem solver, desire to come into work and enjoy what they do, team oriented
What the environment / Sell: Product testing, gathering results, graphing data. Candidate will be joining a close knit team with a proven and charismatic manager, and allows the candidate to gain experience in a different type of industry.
Hours / Shift (if applicable): 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday
Notes:
Must Haves: College degree, experience with Microsoft Suite, specifically how to use Outlook and graph data within Excel
Plus: Data experience (statistics or bookkeeping), experience in manufacturing background, using hand tools, degree in bio/chemistry or engineering huge advantage but not required.
Day to Day:
Will be testing commercial product and reporting data.
- Evaluate service coding
- Will be determining the surface performance
- Testing for wear and tear, make sure performance is up to par with competitors and and standardized guidelines
Official Job Breakdown:
Position will set up and perform manual, automated, materials and environmental performance testing on the full line of commercial products based on applicable standards while following strict timelines. Performance of these tests must be precise, with the monitoring of test controls, effective documentation, and communication of the results both verbally and with formal test reports. This position will be expected to document equipment information, create work instructions to be used by the test technicians, and create calibration schedule if needed. Some support will be required to conduct performance testing, lab organization, and disposal of testing samples.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist test engineering with acquiring and setting up new test equipment Demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities to operate, troubleshoot, resolve issues with electronic and mechanical test equipment Setup and perform manual testing based on applicable procedures and/or standards Ability to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision Ability to communicate effectively between technicians, engineers, and outside equipment vendors Willing to learn new technologies, equipment, and procedures through on-the-job training Test sample handling, labeling, and disposition Ability to use common hand tools Experience writing test procedures and equipment standard operating instructions Understanding of equipment calibration Proficient with MS Office Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs and operate a pallet jack 1378779_1737141487 To Apply for this Job Click Here
