The Tech Clerk provides coordination and assistance in non-clinical unit activities. The Tech Clerk utilizes time management, organizational and priority setting skills to process communications and ensure smooth coordination of the Nursing Station. The Tech Clerk uses appropriate resources and utilizes knowledge of medical terminology and transcription in meeting the needs of patients, families and staff. The Tech Clerk acts as a resource person for patients, families, physicians and hospital staff and assists in promoting and maintaining positive relations between the nursing unit and all hospital departments.
