As a Test Manager/Architect at K&S, you will oversee the end-to-end testing process for K&S products.
Job Description
You will be responsible for defining and implementing comprehensive test strategies, coordinating test execution across teams, and managing performance and automation testing efforts. Additionally, you will ensure timely documentation and reporting of test results and collaborate with stakeholders to make critical release decisions that meet project quality standards and timelines. This role requires taking ownership of testing processes, driving test automation initiatives, and ensuring overall product quality.
Test Strategy & Design: Define and implement test vision, using the test pyramid for multiple product lines. Organize test requirements (functional and non-functional), write test plans, and ensure progress management. Quality Criteria & Coaching: Set clear quality criteria, collaborate with architects to create testable systems, and mentor the engineering team in test activities. Testing & Automation: Lead testing efforts, implement automation strategies, and test non-functional requirements. Software Release Oversight: Oversee testing for software releases, manage Change Control Board (CCB) to assess issues and prioritize severity. Automation & CI: Integrate testing with CI/CD pipelines, automate with BDD frameworks like Gherkin, and share expertise to ensure strategy success. Release Decision Authority: Collaborate on release quality decisions. Documentation & Tooling: Maintain test documentation, manage test automation tools lifecycle. Stakeholder Collaboration: Align software test strategy with system testing, working closely with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams. Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 10+ years in software testing, with 5+ years in a senior or leadership role, preferably in complex, real-time, or industrial systems. Recognized testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB). Expertise in business process analysis, computing, scripting, and test architecture. Strong understanding of system architecture, test automation, and performance testing. Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams, hiring, mentoring, and improving QA processes. Proven ability in creating test plans for software deployments and utilizing CI/CD pipelines. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills; fluent in advanced English. The TeamThe Software Department consists of the software development and testing group who are responsible for the whole of requirements gathering, designing, implementation and testing of new features and functions. The team focuses on designing software to control, support and use our Advanced Packaging and Electronic Assembly machines that are known for their high output at high accuracy.
