The primary responsibility of this position is to perform the required testing on EV and traditional driveline components and assemblies following specific procedures and process and completing them safely and on time.
• Set up and operate dynamometers, mechatronic stands, and bench tests for EV and traditional driveline components and assemblies.
• Work with requesting engineers and test engineers to insure correct fixturing set-up, operation, and acquisition of data for test requests.
• Assemble and disassemble of EV and traditional driveline components and assemblies.
• Record and collect test data from pre and post component/assembly inspection.
• Perform routine as well as preventive maintenance and/or repair on equipment as necessary.
• Visually inspect parts to standards, repair units and products that fail to meet requirements.
• As necessary, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues encountered during assembly/Setups.
• Operation of fork truck, powered pallet truck, crane, and air/electric hand tools
• Support total quality management objectives including all KPIs, and WIs, in a team environment.
• Actively participate in DOS (Dana Operating System) productivity improvement activities and 5S activities
• Adhere to all Operating procedures and Work instruction related to this position.
• Assist with calibration of equipment and perform equipment verification as necessary.
Qualifications Required:
2+ years oh hands-on mechanical experience Strong mechanical aptitude Excellent communication skills This position is for an alternative work schedule (ex. four - 10 hour shifts) Adhere to all safety protocols, while completing tasks.
