Test Technician - 2nd shift

The current work schedule for the 2nd shift is Monday to Friday from 3:00pm to 11:30pm.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Conduct High Voltage Electrical Tests of completed shipping assemblies in accordance with standard procedures and/or special non-standard instructions.  + Operate and check P.D measuring instrumentation. + Requiring operation of SF6 gas handling systems and careful use of sensitive SF6 leak detectors. + Conduct routine mechanical and configuration inspection of final assemblies at testing in accordance with work instructions and as specified by drawings.  + Check Quality Assurance records pertinent to the work, including nonconformance report initiation and distribution. + Maintain log and records of all tests performed. + Assist in the maintenance of test equipment and ensure equipment being used is in calibration.  + Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work areas. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS + Various computer programs i.e., MS Word, Excel. Able to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  + Able to write routine reports and correspondence.  + Able to effectively communicate information to co-workers. + Measuring tape, calculator, pressure gauges, hi-pot test equipment, overhead bridge cranes, SF6 leak detectors, SF6 gas cart. + High school diploma or equivalency (GED) preferred and some technical schooling preferred.
