Test Technician
**Job Title: Test Technician** **Job Description** • Builds and validates precision Opto-mechanical assemblies in strict accordance with procedures. • Uses standardized tools and electric equipment (e.g., torque wrenches, electric and pneumatic screwdrivers, and ball drivers) to perform mechanical assembly on opto-mechanical assemblies. • Enters data into company databases. • Executes inspections/tests. • Interfaces with engineers to support special builds and experiments with detailed instructions. • Operates precision cleaning machinery. • Prepares completed assemblies for shipment. **Hard Skills** + 4-5 years of recent experience in E/M Assembly + Ability to read and interpret prints and schematics + Experience with hand, power, and measuring tools + Mechanical/Mechanical Assembly experience + Basic computer skills **Soft Skills** + Strong attention to detail + Ability to work under deadlines + Ability to observe and respond to people and situations + Ability to interact with others encountered in the course of work + Ability to learn and apply new information or skills **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 18 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in SAN DIEGO, California. **Work Environment** This is a hands-on building role at a workstation, not an assembly line. The work environment is a cleanroom. The position operates on the 1st shift from 6am-2:30pm. The physical demands include sitting, walking, talking, hearing, using hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and stretching. Employees may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and move around the campus. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The environment is generally moderate in temperature and noise level. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Military experience is highly preferred.
