Job Description

1st shift role: 7am - 4pm (availability on Saturdays is a plus).

You will be responsible for FIRE SPRINKLER PRODUCTS / SYSTEMS in a Lab Setting.

You will work with other Lab Techs and Engineers and support them with Test Set up and Documentation of results. You will be performing test setup, running the tests, and collecting test data in Excel (fairly repetitive work, and you will be trained on the test procedures). After three months, you will be testing Fire Sprinkler products. Initially, the role will focus more on test documentation (6+ hours per day at the computer logging information required for product testing). You will be trained on the UL test procedures as it involves repetitive testing and documentation of test data.

Qualifications Minimum of a HS Diploma or Associates degreeExperience working with hand tools / test tools or common test equipment used in a Lab settingExperience with Test Data Documentation using Microsoft ExcelStrong communication skillsAbility to interact with internal employees and customersJob Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Months with a strong likelihood of extension and go on direct with client

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Northbrook, Illinois.

Work Environment

Test Lab environment working with 5 other Technicians and 4-5 Engineers.
