Test Technician is a foundational role at Creation Technologies, focused on executing basic engineering design tasks, aiding in prototype assembly, and performing routine technical work. This entry-level position is crucial for those starting their career in electronics engineering manufacturing, providing an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting while learning industry standards and practices. Responsibilities include support of process development, basic troubleshooting, adherence to quality standards, and effective collaboration with team members. This role supports technical activities under the guidance of the Engineering team. It’s a role that combines hands-on experience with professional growth, offering insights into manufacturing process development and a pathway for future advancement in the field.
•Performs basic test engineering tasks and activities under the direction of Test Engineering team.
•Assists the test engineering team with test station build support and the development of testing procedures.
•Assists in the documentation and maintenance of test solutions, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective.
•Supports the maintenance and calibration of test equipment, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with product specifications.
•Assists in the troubleshooting of test setups and fixtures, contributing to the resolution of issues and ensuring test accuracy.
•Aids in the development of test procedures and protocols, ensuring thorough coverage and efficient testing processes.
•Collaborates with the test engineering team to improve test strategies, enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of testing.
•Occasionally supports production to resolve Basic debug escalations.
•Ability to work with test executables, test stand, functional test systems and LabVIEW etc.
•Provides support in analyzing test data, helping to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in test processes.
•Analyzes electronic and electromechanical assemblies to determine cause of product defect to include circuit analysis, part identification diagnosis and replacement of defective components to bring product into specification.
•Analyzes defective components to determine failure cause and provide report, if necessary, for Engineering and Supply Chain corrective action.
•Prepares and solders electronic components onto PCBs as per specifications, when required.
•Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Education and Required Experience
•College Diploma (2 Year), with relevant coursework in electronics and manufacturing processes or equivalent industry and/or military experience (2 Year)
•1 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing preferred.
Skills Required
•Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
•Proficiency in basic electronics assembly and/or testing, and/or troubleshooting.
•Effective oral and written English communication and collaboration skills.
•Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•Capacity to learn and apply new skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
•Awareness of Lean principles, six sigma and industrial ergonomics preferred.
•Proficient in using Computer systems and knowledge of CAD/CAM and programming preferred.

Working Conditions
The working environment is generally clean; however, this position may be exposed to occasional dust, metals/solder occasional exposure to high noise levels from operating machines or physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts. The employee must wear designated PPE where required. Otherwise, office/business casual attire is appropriate.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $28-$34 USD per hour; a shift differential may also be provided depending on the work hours. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift.
