The Test Technician will be responsible for performing a wide variety of technical tasks in support of processes, engineering, quality control, calibration, laboratories, production/test environment, line maintenance and/or chemical handling.

This is a 1st shift onsite role at our Forest, MS facility.

What You Will Do

This position requires lifting, walking, and could involve stair/ladder climbing at the test range(s)

Support processes, engineering, quality control, calibration, and maintenance tasks within laboratory and production/test environments.

Perform tests using electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, and computer systems, following established procedures and protocols.

Utilize engineering and scientific drawings, manuals, and documentation to perform tasks, ensuring compliance with procedures.

Assist in the configuration and management of test environments, including data management.

Assist Troubleshoot basic issues with analog and digital electronic circuits, isolating problems between test environments and units under test; escalate complex issues as needed.

Communicate technical issues by generating clear and detailed failure entries that align with test procedure requirements.

Interpret test data, such as plots, graphs, and tabulated parameters, to assess pass/fail conditions and determine when further analysis is necessary.

Continuously improve skills through on-the-job training and mentorship from senior technicians.

Qualifications You Must Have

High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

Familiarity with common test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes)

​The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Familiarity with Radio Frequency equipment such as radios, radar and Electronic Warfare systems

Coursework in Electronics Science or a related field is preferred

Experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Interest in advancing within the electronics field and developing technical expertise

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 39,000 USD - 91,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
