Job Description
The Test Technician will support our design and manufacturing efforts. You will utilize excellent computer skills and knowledge of circuits to setup, test, troubleshoot, and repair circuit card assemblies to the component level.
ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to engineers and scientists on a variety of complex components, devices, materials, products, processes, and/or equipment.Perform set-up and testing of circuit cards using test procedures, computer-based programs, and various test equipment.Work from complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications, and sketches of significant complexity.Interpret and follow written documents such as SOPs and safety rules.Follow procedures for testing assigned product assemblies and record data in various databases.Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State and Federal regulations and any certification required to maintain the certification.Assist in training new team members.Interface with other departments to assure efficient flow of information and materials.Perform Key Performance Indicators: Meet production deadlines, ensure the quality of finished products (Pass/fail rates), and maintain raw material stock.Signal circuit cards to the component level.Recognize and communicate test difficulties and/or product faults to supervisors in a clear, concise, and timely manner.Exhibit flexibility across different test equipment platforms and products.Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.Essential SkillsKnowledge of circuits and components.Ability to troubleshoot.Experience with network analyzers, multimeters, spectrum analyzers.Educational or work experience with common testing equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.Educational knowledge in tuning, troubleshooting, and testing circuit boards.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.3+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Good working knowledge of circuit board technology.Work Environment
It is a manufacturing environment with a large production floor where boards are being tested. The Technician Group consists of about 25 people. They work a 9/80 schedule and are off work every other Friday. Overtime is available periodically.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.65
