Job Description
An employer is looking for an Optical and Laser Test Technician in Redmond, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining optical and laser systems used in various applications such as telecommunications, medical devices, or industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Set up and conduct tests on optical and laser systems according to established protocols and specifications
2. Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
3. Identify and diagnose issues in optical and laser systems
4. Assist in the development and improvement of testing procedures
5. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve technical problems
6. Maintain accurate records of test results, equipment maintenance, and calibration
7. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures when working with lasers and optical equipment

Skills and Requirements
2+ years of experience within Test Technician work
2+ years working within a Lab or engineering environment
Proficiency in using various test equipment such as optical power meters, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and as part of a team 2+ years of experience working with optical and laser systems
Strong understanding of optics, photonics, and laser principles
Associate's degree in Photonics, Laser Technology, Electronics, or a related field
Certification in laser safety
Experience with fiber optic systems
Familiarity with quality control processes and standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
Knowledge of data analysis software and basic programming skills null
