Job Description

Aerotek is seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Test & Debug Technician to join our electronics client in the west end of Ottawa! The candidate will be responsible for performing debug testing on various products, running scripts, and conducting basic troubleshooting.

ResponsibilitiesPerform Automated Testing: Run and maintain automated test scripts to ensure products meet quality standards.Support Prototype Development: Assist in testing and troubleshooting prototypes during the development phase.Analyze Production Data: Review test results and production data to identify and address issues.Conduct Failure Analysis: Investigate and resolve component and system failures, documenting findings and solutions.Troubleshoot and Debug: Identify and fix hardware and software issues using established troubleshooting guides.Collaborate with Manufacturing Partners: Work with external manufacturers to test and debug pre-production and production units.Essential SkillsMinimum 1 year of hands-on experience in electronics or box debugging.Proficient in using basic PC programs for conducting tests. Experience working with PCBs (printed circuit boards) for testing, debugging, etc. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in processes.Experienced in using oscilloscopes for diagnosing and troubleshooting electronic components.Solid troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve hardware and software issues effectively.Ability to analyze test results and production data to improve processes and product quality.Ability to maneuver around different lab equipment.Capable of working both on their feet and sitting.Perks & BenefitsNewly renovated, state-of-the-art electronics lab with excellent facilities.
