Test Technician

Summary: The Test Technician will support the USAMRDC Test Branch by assisting the test engineer in determining test plans, devising test methods, and conducting developmental and environmental testing of candidate medical devices and support equipment in accordance with MIL-STD-810 and AR 70-38 standards. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Assist Test Engineer: Collaborate with the test engineer to determine test plans and devise test methods. Support the execution of developmental and environmental testing of medical devices and support equipment. Conduct Testing: Perform testing in accordance with MIL-STD-810 and AR 70-38 standards. Document test procedures and results accurately. Operate and Maintain Equipment: Operate and maintain various testing equipment, including: Ling Dynamic Model 826 Vibration System Russell Altitude/Test Chamber (Model RHB-64-705-705-AC) Baldwin Tensile Test Machine (Model 60BTE-DC12) CSZ Thermal and Humidity Test Chamber (Model ZPHS-32-3.5-3.5-SC/AC) Singleton Salt Fog/Humidity/Rain Test Chamber (Model 22) Gaynes Loose Cargo Test Machine (Model G1437-8) A.B. Equipment Drop Tester MAXDROP300 VST Loose Cargo Test Machine (Model #TS2000-6084-VL-NS-OP30) Russell Walk-In Thermal and Humidity Chamber (Model WMD-336-ECMD-4-10-10) The role involves working in a test facility environment. May require handling and testing of various medical devices. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Ability to operate and maintain the specified USAMRDC Test Branch equipment. Strong technical and mechanical skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Ability to work collaboratively with test engineers and other team members. Strong organizational and time management skills. Minimum Qualifications: At least 2 – 4 years of relevant experience. US Citizens only. Clearance: minimum, a National Agency Check with Local Checks “T3” (NACLC)) Ability to travel - occasional travel may be required to support testing at different locations. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a testing or engineering environment. Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 and AR 70-38 standards. The salary range for this position is $18.75 to $29.81 hourly.
