Job Title: Test Technician
Job Description

The Test Technician works under limited direction/supervision and is responsible for testing assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications using automated test equipment. Emphasizing quality while following set procedures and standard operational guidelines, this position is performed onsite in Kirkland, WA with a 5x8 schedule.

ResponsibilitiesInterpret and work in accordance with drawings, functional and acceptance test procedures, failure reports, manuals, and all other applicable engineering and production specifications.Perform acceptance testing using a variety of automated testing equipment and special test consoles on newly manufactured products and product returns. Troubleshoot the test setup to validate proper functionality if needed.Perform manual testing and interpretation of results from standard and special purpose test equipment such as multi-meters, signal generators, power supplies, bridges, and oscilloscopes.Document findings in reports including detailed descriptions of testing performed, resulting failures, and initial root cause investigation results.Effectively communicate information and ideas to others.Identify and address issues proactively using problem-solving skills.Collaborate closely with other teams within the company to resolve issues. This may include working with engineers to conduct specific test experiments.Quickly come up to speed on unfamiliar hardware and tools.Essential SkillsProven Test Technician experience with automated and manual testing of electronics including complex assemblies and final products.Ability to run tests and interpret and document results in Jira.Ability to work with engineering to determine results and necessary actions.At least 5 years of experience in industries with a focus on high reliability and compliance, such as aerospace, defense, or medical.Working knowledge of both automated and manual test equipment for testing of complex assemblies and/or final systems.Ability to set up manual test equipment for testing.Above average personal skills for working directly with manufacturers and customers.Great computer, documentation, and organizational skills.Self-directed task management.Fluent spoken and written English.Additional Skills & QualificationsAA degree in Electronic Technology, or equivalent knowledge through experience or other recognized educational institution (preferred).Work Environment

This position is based in an onsite lab and engineering office with a 5x8 schedule from Monday to Friday. The team currently consists of three members, with plans to add two more headcount.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.50 - $38.50
