Test Technician
Job Title: Test Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to conduct technical product performance tests on parts and products. The ideal candidate will work closely with requestors to modify and expand test plans and procedures, generating accurate and concise reports of test results. The role involves setting up and operating lab equipment, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, and designing and building equipment and fixtures for testing. The Test Technician will also assist in maintaining lab equipment calibration and support various new product development activities. Responsibilities + Conduct technical product performance tests on parts and products accurately and timely. + Collaborate with requestors to modify and expand test plans and procedures. + Generate written reports of test results, drawing sound conclusions and observations. + Set up and operate lab equipment, contributing to the lab's organization and layout for increased efficiency. + Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately, making prototype parts, assemblies, and products as requested. + Design and build equipment and fixtures for testing purposes. + Assist in maintaining the calibration of lab equipment. + Work with agency representatives/inspectors to facilitate lab and manufacturing inspections, resolving any findings with the Standards Engineer. + Support and participate in new product development lean activities, such as DFMEA, design reviews, and 3P conceptual design events. + Assist engineers with the design and development of test machinery and equipment. + Provide testing and engineering support for Engineered Solution and Value Engineering projects. Essential Skills + Experience in test equipment, electronics, mechanical, and electrical troubleshooting. + Ability to create and analyze test plans and blueprints. + Proficiency with standard engineering instruments such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, force/pressure gauges, and voltage meters. + Experience in data analysis and constructing performance reports. + Experience working in an industrial manufacturing company with at least 2+ years in an engineering test lab. + Ability to use computer software for data analysis and test station operation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Two-year technical degree preferred. + Preferred training or experience in electrical, electronics, electromechanical, or HVAC fields. + Adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
