Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Test Technician to join our team for a long-term opportunity. This position will start as a contract role with the potential for full-time hire. The ideal candidate will have experience debugging electronics and printed circuit boards (PCBs) down to the component level. You will be responsible for testing and troubleshooting to identify defects in the boards.
ResponsibilitiesDebug electronic boards and PCBs down to the component level.Test and troubleshoot to find defects in the boards.Utilize test equipment such as Digital Multi Meters, frequency counters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.Read and interpret schematics to identify and understand electrical components and their functions.Write test documents and procedures.Perform in-circuit and flying probe test and debug (HP3070, Genrad, Spea).Conduct functional and bench testing.Hand solder through-hole and SMT components, including sizes down to 0402.Essential SkillsAt least 2 years of education in electronics (AA degree, military, or equivalent).Over 5 years of experience in printed circuit board debug to the component level.Ability to debug RF circuitry.Proficiency in reading schematics.Ability to identify electrical components and understand their functions.Experience with Digital Multi Meters, frequency counters, signal generators, oscilloscopes, Signal Analyzers, and Vector Signal Generators.Computer knowledge with Windows, programming software, J-TAG, Xilinx, etc.Experience in in-circuit and flying probe test and debug (HP3070, Genrad, Spea).Functional and bench test experience.Proficiency in hand soldering of through-hole and SMT components.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in writing test documents and procedures.Military experience or equivalent electronics education is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is an electronic manufacturing setting that is very clean and orderly. Individuals are provided with their own work benches and personal workspace. There are two shift options available: Monday-Wednesday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and Thursday for a half-day (5 hours), or Thursday half-day and Friday-Sunday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $79040.00/yr.
