**URGENTLY HIRING for Test Technicians in Northern, NJ !** **Location:** Whippany, NJ **Shift:** Monday - Thursday, 10 hour days **Pay:** $27 to start, guaranteed $35 after 2 years. **Job Description** The Test Technician is primarily responsible for the independent setup, testing, and operation of all phases of processing pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electromechanical equipment. This role involves developing and testing production hardware and their subassemblies by following schematic and other written and/or verbal specifications. Additionally, the role includes troubleshooting problems that arise and responding with appropriate unit rework. **Responsibilities** + Ensure that products perform their proposed functions in a satisfactory manner. + Read and interpret documents (e.g., procedures, schematics/technical drawings) and use necessary measuring devices/equipment to confirm tooling/fixturing geometries and dimensions. + Complete work as directed, in compliance with technical specifications and regulatory requirements including mil-specs. + Setup and operate tools required for assembly including, but not limited to, standard hand tools, load testing devices, micrometers, depth mics, calipers, and microscopes. + Assemble products, install internal components, use arbor press/fixtures, apply lock wire, and torque seal. + Conduct functional testing. + Maintain accurate parts and part count for each job. + Support Lean ideas to improve company efficiencies. + Maintain all hand tools in clean working order and notify the supervisor of any equipment that requires repair. + Perform other job duties as requested, directed, or assigned. + Properly handle and dispose of chemicals using proper PPE as required. + Understand basic hydraulic concepts and the function of gauges, flow meters, and assemblies in hydraulic systems. + Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics. + Experience with various measuring devices and equipment. + Knowledge of mil-specs and regulatory requirements. + Proficiency in using hand tools and other assembly tools. + Understanding of hydraulic systems and related components. **Why Work Here?** This company offers a 5% raise every six months up to 24 months, providing significant opportunities for salary growth.
