The focus area will be products in the Fluid & Power group. These are mostly mechanical in nature: hydraulics, fluid systems, motors, actuated valves and ball screws, pressure sensors, seals, temperature expansion issues, etc.
- Overall, this person will take completed assemblies and figure out why it can't pass certain test criteria, and determine the root cause
- Use hydraulic test stands to tweak variables like flow and pressure to isolate issues
- Review test results and break down processes to identify error points and points of failure
- Disassemble products, and methodically test various parts of the assembly - check valves, fluid pressure, PSI
- Some assemblies have 50+ parts in BOM, which requires attention to detail
70% of the role will be in a hands on, test lab environment. The other 30% will be at the desk, spent reviewing drawings, BOMs, test results, etc.
MUST HAVES:
- Hands on experience from a test lab or manufacturing R&D setting
- Experience with hydraulics, fuel systems, fluid systems, valves, actuators, pressure, flow, etc.
- Ability to review prints, understand BOM, and recommend design changes
- Experience creating test reports and documenting failures
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
