Test Technician
**Job Title: Test Technician** **Job Description** We are looking for multiple Test Technicians on 1st and 2nd shift to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, heating, and cooling systems of ground support equipment units produced in-house. The focus will mainly be on hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical equipment. **Responsibilities** + Work off spec sheets and blueprints daily. + Prepare units before testing; fill with fluids, install test instruments, and pre-set controls. + Check the wiring of the unit and the flow of fluids to ensure proper placement and functionality, then document. + Test units per spec sheet with proper testing equipment. + Record data accurately. + Perform final run on units. + Get units ready for shipment and ensure all test-related items are accounted for. + Maintain a daily time log of work done on manufacturing and/or production travelers. **Essential Skills** + Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment working in a test capacity. + Diagnostic/troubleshooting experience with electrical systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics, preferably on industrial equipment. + Mechanical aptitude. + HVAC experience is highly preferred. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience as a helicopter maintenance chief or military supervisor is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers a stable work environment with a great balance between military and commercial projects. We are a market leader with 60 years of continuous investment in engineering and innovation. **Work Environment** The schedule is Monday to Friday, with 1st shift from 6:30am to 3:00pm and 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm. The test environment is both indoor and outdoor, so candidates must be comfortable working in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, cold, and heat. The facility has a large shop floor with over 170 people on the 1st shift and around 20 on the 2nd shift. This is a production setting, so dressing in jeans and a shirt is fine. Uniforms will be provided within a month of employment, and tools will be provided as well. Steel-toed boots are required. The work environment can become chaotic due to project deadlines and the number of people working on the shop floor. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor, Connecticut. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
