**Test Technician** **Pay Rate: $24/Hr.** **Shift: 7:30AM - 3:30PM M-F** **Job Description** The technician will specifically test, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical and electronic systems and components **Skills** + Troubleshooting + Mechanical Assembly + Blueprint Reading + Repair + Schematic Interpretation + Wiring + Calibration + Multimeter **Responsibilities** + Perform skilled testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment and components + Follow a pre-established schedule to test and adjust electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems on transit vehicles, including propulsion, train control, pneumatic supply and brake control, air conditioning, annunciation, communications, door control, lighting, and auxiliary electrical supply. + Troubleshoot and perform primary performance verification on systems, removing and replacing components as required to meet manufacturer specifications. + Accurately record all findings in provided Test Reports for inclusion in Car History Books.Use diagnostic test equipment and precision measuring devices; may fabricate new testing equipment as needed. + Perform secondary dismantling and repair of electronic and electro-mechanical systems. + Verify performance of new or modified systems or equipment. + Work closely with transit vehicle mechanics to troubleshoot problems and perform primary repairs. + Read and interpret diagrams, engineering drawings, manuals, schematics, and work orders. + Measure, test, and inspect completed work to ensure adherence to specifications. **Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hagerstown, MD **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
